Highlights Of The 4th Elizabeth Chinese Tea Ceremony


We successful hosted Chinese Tea Culture Class IV with 8 Japanese housewives attended on Nov 21st, and got credit and praise for our effort and work. Two short fables made it much easier to understand Chinese culture and art. Arranging flowers, playing the koto, enjoying the tea, being immersed in traditional art. I think that’s why Japanese women take the top spot in life expectancy in the world.


Ikebana is a collection of flowers in a creative arrangement. It can be arranged for the decor of homes or public buildings. The art of flower-arranging for home or building decor has a long history in China, which can be dated back to the Song dynasty.


Zheng, commonly know as Guzheng, is a Chinese traditional plucked musical string instrument with over 2500 years of history. Zheng is the forerunner of Japanese Koto, Korea Kayagum. Due to its long history, the Zheng has been call Guzheng. And it has been a popular instrument since ancient times and is considered as one of the main chamber as well as solo instruments of Chinese traditional music. 


Chrysanthemum tea is the one of China's most popular Herbal teas. It is well-known for its cooling properties that help to clear the fire throat and relieve toxicity and is recommended for those with fever, sore throat, and other heat-related illnesses.
