Pregnancy Exercises---Benefits & Guidelines

For an expectant mum, staying at home with maternity dresses is similar to a prison sentence. You may have a consistent boredom, in most cases, pregnancy boredom is nothing to worry about, it may be a part of pregnancy, especially in its third trimester of pregnancy. According to Dr. Hati, at Guangzhou Elizabeth Women’s Hospital, one of the best way to relieve you from boredom during pregnancy is to have some regular exercise and physical activities, which helps you stay active and gets ready for baby.

Chinese celebrity Yao Chen, who is now around five months pregnant, posted pictures on Weibo of her doing strength training at a gym. For many netizens, the pictures were a major challenge to traditional approaches to pregnancy in China where exercise is avoided and mothers-to-be move very carefully throughout the day.

Despite being pregnant for 7 months, Tao Xinran, who plays An Ling-rong in Empresses in the Palace, is still practicing yoga. And she says, “ Yoga really helps me breathe and relax, which in turn can help me adjust to the physical demands of my pregnancy, labor, birth, motherhood.”

For all of your pregnancy time, you’ve probably heard of that exercising---whether that means yoga, swimming or walking---can help you keep a healthy body and decrease some common discomforts like backaches and fatigue. There are some tips worth your attention during pregnancy exercises.

A proper warm-up---Warm up is an important part of your exercise routine, it has many benefits, the main benefit is to protect your muscles from being pulled. In addition, it also helps increase blood flow to your muscles and decrease your risk of injury.

Moderate-intensity exercise---Many pregnant women worried that exercise might harm the growing baby. In fact, if you’re healthy, the risks of moderate-intensity during pregnancy are very low, it helps you develop the ability to control your muscles during labor and delivery.

Avoid alcohol and some beverages---As we all know, drinking alcohol at any time during pregnancy may cause serious health problems for your baby. In addition, some beverages are considered to have an adverse effect on the fetus.

Avoid smoked fish and cold meats---It is advised to avoid smoked fish and cold meats during pregnancy due to the risk that the foods may contain bacteria called listeria. Despite that listeriosis is a rare infection, it is best to take special precautions during pregnancy.

Disable Mum Re-learns to Style Daughter’s Hair for School.

Shanice Rayner, 22, from Essex, Britain, was first diagnosed with scoliosis, syringomyelia and chiara malformation since she was 6, and she completely lost the use of her left hand in February this year.

Her left hand’s numbness, which doctor has attributed to muscle wastage, means she was unable to style hair for her three-year-old daughter Ayshea Rayner for school. Shanice can’t stand the thought of her daughter going to school with messy hair.

Despite her disability, Shanice is still trying to style Ayshea’s hair into a neat bun using her right hand and mouth.

As a parent, we always want the best for our children, there are some essential life skills all parents should teach their kids, which will help them better cope with society and grow into a responsible, respectful adult.

Teach kids to comb or style their hair.
There is no “right age” for a child to start combing or brushing their own hair, it supposed to be a natural process for a child showing interest in doing it herself. When combing girl’s hair, encourage her to do the same with a doll’s hair.

Teach kids to wash their hands.
Washing hands is a basic skill for kids to master, and also one of the best effective way to prevent germs that may cause illness and keep our kids from getting sick. As a parent, we can help our kids cultivate a good habit of washing hands through our words and deeds.

Teach kids to brush their teeth.
More than 40% of children have cavities by the time they enter kindergarten, teeth decay is still the biggest health issue affecting their daily life. As the saying goes, monkey see, monkey do. Keep a family brushing schedule and make it a habit to avoid teeth decay and improve their oral health.

Teach kids to go to the bathroom.
When it comes to potty-training, there are more similarities than differences in toilet training. The process always takes time and patience. It’s also important to start this training when the time is right for your child.
